A friend of me showed me this nice day tour at Mt. Hochschwab. Mt. Hochschwab is a very popular hiking area. The Hochschwab is a huge limestone plateau with many different landscapes. To cross the whole plateau, you would need 3 days.

Our tour starts at the small village of Seewiesen (942m). From there we follow the trail into the Seetal (lake valley) to the mountain hut Florlhütte (1284m) and to Franzosenkreuz (Höllkampl, 1450m). There we turn left and take the unmarked trail to Foelzsattel (1658m). From there you have to climb to the Mitteralm plateau (ca. 1900m). The way down into the valley leads us trough Hackentörl (1291m) back to Seewiesen.

You can make this tour easily in one day. Please bring enough water with you, because there is only one spring at Florlhütte.
